The new PROMISE VTrak J930s is an ultra-dense 6Gbps SAS 4U/60-bay expansion chassis that enables data hungry applications to scale to petabytes without having to sacrifice valuable server rack real estate. The VTrak J930s can be connected as an expansion chassis for VTrak x30 Series RAID subsystems or to SAS enabled servers. The J930s supports a flexible architecture that allows for connectivity to 6G and 3G hard drives and SSDs. Available with redundant active-active interface modules, all models also feature fully redundant hot-swap power and cooling units that can deliver over 90 percent power efficiency helping lower your carbon footprint. The VTrak Jx30 series allows storage applications to access their data at blistering speeds using multi-lane 6G SAS architectures. The 6G SAS connectivity paves the way for large multi-land bandwidth to support the flood of unstructured data now flowing across networks today. Fully backward compatible with 3G SAS/SATA devices, users have the ability to deploy 3G and 6G SAS/SATA hard drives and solid state devices (SSD) in the Jx30 series.
PROMISE Pegasus J2 is the smallest Thunderbolt enabled external storage device designed to unleash the raw power of Thunderbolt technology. Powered by 6G mSATA flash the J2 is capable of delivering over 700 MB/s throughput while supporting volume encryption in the consumer and professional post production markets. Pegasus J4 is the first 4-bay 2.5” small form factor high-performance Thunderbolt storage solution supporting HDD and SSD. Thunderbolt technology ports are capable of delivering a blistering two channels of 10 Gb/s (1.25 GB/s) per port of performance. With I/O rates of over 500 MB/s the J4 delivers a massive and unprecedented leap in the performance of portable hard drive based data storage for both professionals and amateurs in the post production world. Both the J2 and J4 feature leading edge product design combined with a fan less ultra slim compact enclosure resulting in zero noise emanating from the devices.
To learn more about PROMISE Technology and its rich portfolio of storage solutions for post production and media and entertainment professionals, PROMISE will be showcasing its products at the upcoming NAB show, April 16-19, Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #SL5327.
