SmartStor ZERO
SmartStor Zero is a Zero configuration 2-bay network attached storage and digital media server for the home and SOHO markets. SmartStor Zero is as easy to access and manage as any USB disk. SmartStor Zero includes 1 or 2 hard drives and requires no lengthy or complicated setup process. Unpack, power-on, install the ON Companion Software and the rest is completely automatic. ON will map and open network share, allowing instant access for data backup and DLNA media sharing via digital media players. SmartStor Zero functions as an iTunes Media Server, allowing music and video to be streamed using iTunes.
Making it a cinch to upload and download digital content to and from mobile devices, the SmartStor Zero lets consumers take advantage of the latest and greatest in DLNA Technology. Additionally, the installation does not install any device drivers or virtual components into the operating system. PROMISE even offers an “installer-free” version of the “ON” Management Software. SmartStor Zero supports Windows® XP, Vista, Windows® 7, Mac OS X 10.5.2 and higher operating systems.
Apps are available for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Android. Fusion Stream is a cutting edge DLNA Digital Media App that allows playback of music, pictures and video stored on SmartStor Zero (and other PROMISE SmartStor NAS products). Fusion Stream supports upload of digital content from the Smartphone to SmartStor Zero and download of digital content from SmartStor Zero to the Smartphone.
Availability
SmartStor ZERO and its Fusion Stream DLNA digital media apps are available in the U.S. at the Apple App store and Android market. The SmartStor Zero is priced at $279 for 1TB and $389 for 2TB. The DLNA Pavilion is located at Central Plaza 3.
